Charlie Black, one of McCain's most senior political advisers, said in an interview with Fortune Magazine that a fresh attack "would be a big advantage to him." He also said that the December assassination of Benazir Bhutto, which he called an "unfortunate event," helped him win the Republican primary by focusing attention on national security.
AHIP (America’s Health Insurance Plans) will be holding their conference for health insurance lobbyists in San Francisco on June 19th. In 2006, AHIP spent over US$7 million on lobbying. Their keynote speaker for the conference, who will be receiving a large speaker fee, is none other than former DNC Chair, and Clinton Campaign Spokesman Terri McAuliffe.
WTF?

"Tlg Celebration Thread #4" (yeah I know... But bear with me.) This really is our week, and his week. With news today that the Candidate wants to keep Howard Dean and the 50 state strategy in place and moving forward, this really is a big WIN for the progressive movement. So, I get to celebrate for a few days! I am sure the GNB mastheaders will soon get back to other serious stuff, but I am personally still doing the snoopy dance!

It's been 4 months since "person of interest" Vicki Iseman, the lobbyist who used to work closely with John McCain went sub rosa after reporters began to ask questions about her involvement with John McCain. We get endless questions about Barack Obama's past, known acquaintances, former friends, people who visited his neighborhood once. 
As this google trend graph shows, she has become invisible from the view of our media. There has not been a single interview with her. Which is really funny because usually they will follow a missing white woman like bloodhounds. Odd isn't?

It's been 3 weeks since the whole McCain is sleeping with lobbyists thing broke and no one has seen Vicki Iseman. Usually the corporate media goes bananas over a missing blonde girl, but not this time. I know we had listen to them repeat the words Spitzer and Prostitute over and over again, that got their little chicken brains all engrossed like some sparkly things, but honestly you would think somebody would be interested in finding out what happened to Vicki Iseman. She is the central figure in a situation concerning the republican nominee for president and a sitting senator. She became "unavailable for comment" immediately when this broke and no one has heard from her since.
