Joan McCarter at Darcy Burner Election Night Event
Here's a quick interview with mcjoan last night at the Darcy event.
Joan's been working damn near around the clock the last seven-eight weeks. I think this event was pretty much her first break in weeks.
This is the same event during which Darcy thanked the Netroots for their work.
I asked Joan what she thought what next...
You can read Joan at DailyKos. Highly recommended.

McCain's Story "Cross in the Dirt" Appears to be Bullshit
John POW© McCain likes to tell this story about how one of his captors in the POW camp once drew a cross in the dirt in front of him in a show of Christian solidarity with his torture victim. A story he only started telling in 1999. It's a touching story, but I prefer the original version by Alexander Solzhenitsyn:
As Solzhenitsyn stared at the Cross drawn in the dirt his entire perspective changed. He knew he was only one man against the all-powerful Soviet empire. Yet he knew there was something greater than the evil he saw in the prison camp, something greater than the Soviet Union. He knew that hope for all people was represented by that simple Cross. Through the power of the Cross, anything was possible.John McCain, Maverick... and liar. Is there anything about this guy that is genuine? What is wrong with this guy. Is there something wrong with his story that he was a POW for 5 1/2 years that he has to embellish it? This guy doesn't seem to be able to distinguish reality from fantasy.
Check out rickrocket's diary at kos, where the story broke. There's more...

Update: Gilly's Writings
We've Updated the Page where You Find the
Links to Gilly's Writings
I am THRILLED with the new updates.
Have spent the middle of the early morning reading. Damn, that Gilliard guy was good. As a writer, as a foreteller of shit to come, and as a human being.
The update went on the page GNB maintains where you can always find every link to Steve's writing we have.
Here is the page: Writings of Steve Gilliard.
(The link is available in the Memoriam box, currently found on the right sidebar.)
Everything below this paragraph is what we added to the existing page. Enjoy. --Jesse

If you want early Steve, there's Netslaves and there's this.
Again, be certain to read Steve's masterwork, the Colonial Warfare series.
Sardonyx's terrific research at DailyKos is right up there with Steve Baldwin's ongoing research on Steve at Ghost Sites of the Web where Netslaves lives on.
Our thanks to both on a job done well, and their love and appreciation of Gilly. There's more...
