I don't know, maybe it is just me, but I felt super uneasy and uncomfortable with the level of detail, especially of entrances, locations and times-- that were posted in a so called fluff piece about the Obama kid's first day at school on Monday. It was downright creepy that the WAPO went into such detail about which entrances, and the addresses etc. that the motorcade used as the girls went to their new schools for the first day.
With Wingnutopia in a tailspin over the imminent swearing in of PEBO-- I still have fears that make easy sleeping difficult. I hope the Secret Service has something to say to the Debbi Wilgoren, Bill Turque, Dan DeVise, Richard Leiby and Hamil R. Harris and other reporters about the sensibility of giving such detailed info in future pieces. It seemed very strange and unnecessary. Too many crazies and racists out there for my taste. No need to be providing them time schedules and school entrance info.

Barney
I didn't even make it halfway through the video.
The President demonstrates yet again how he is inappropriate and tone-deaf.
One month and four days to go.

The New First Family at the Moment of Truth

Bagnews has a great thread up of this much talked about flickr view of election night with the family. I love these shots. I love what it says about them in absolutely natural and unassuming terms. I am so eager for 1/20 to be here. If I didn't have a great Christmas vacation planned I would be wishing to just lay down and sleep and wake up on 1/19...
Anyway, enjoy, and go over to the Bag thread and add your two cents (two yen-- two whatever ya got.) Also check out the full flickr set here.
Who's planning to be in DC in Jan.? I have heard talk of a Netroots party-- it would be great to see everyone there.

Potential Presidential Pupp-eh FAQ

There has been much talk that Malia and Sasha may end up choosing a Goldendoodle due to Malia's allergies. (these dogs don't shed and are great for alergic kids.)
Here's the goldendoodle FAQ so we can all read up on the potential first-pooch.
Hyrbid Vigor? I like the sound of that...
Goldendoodles are a first generation cross, and as such they exhibit hybrid vigour. This is a phenomenon in animal breeding referring to the fact that the first cross between two unrelated purebred lines is healthier and grows better than either parent line. The hybrid cross between these two parent breeds are terrific family dogs, friendly, intelligent, affectionate and easy to train.

Presidential Pupp-eh Preditction Open Thread

So, What kind of dog do you think Malia and Sasha are going to choose?
My guess is not tiny or toy, not huge. Something about springer spaniel size. English Springer Spaniel. (or maybe a Dalmatian)
But, my real question is, since I worked hard on this campaign... can I get a puppy too? I want a French Bulldog, or a Chocolate Lab.
(Prize of dog related computer gear from Tokyo for the first person who turns out to be correct)
