want the troops home within a year. This is really stunning, there was not polling like this during Kosovo showing a lack of support for President Clinton. This new LA Times poll is really groundbreaking. The LA Times says some of the numbers have to do with the fact that the military raised the enlistment age to 42 and this left thousands more families without husbands or wifes for years now. They have had enough.
If there was a single group that I thought would never show a loss of support for Bush it would have been the military families. These are the people who send around the patriotic emails. These are people who say "my country, right or wrong." Bush really is the reverse Midas. Everything he touches turns to shit.
