"Someday, no one will march there at all"


For Canada, someday arrived about a month ago. John Babcock, the last living Canadian veteran of "The Great War", died 18 February, 2010 at his home in Spokane, WA. He was nearly 110 years old.

PM Stephen Harper described Babcock as:

Canada’s last living link to the Great War, which in so many ways marked our coming of age as a nation.
