Laura Linney At The Emmys

SPOILER ALERT

The Emmys were worse than usual, with way too much attention eaten up by blather about reality TV shows and a scant selection as a result of the Writer's Strike (see what happens when you crap on writers, you corporate morons?) But there was a moment when I cheered. Laura Linney won Best Lead Actress for a Miniseries or Movie for her role as Abigail Adams in John Adams, and at the end of her thank-you speech, she said "I am extremely grateful to those community organizers who founded this country." Slam. Dunk.
